Eva L. Schroeder, 97, formerly of Rockport, passed away Saturday, March 9, 2013, at Oakwood Health Campus in Tell City.

Eva was born in Spencer County, Jan. 1, 1916, to the late Jacob T. and Rose (Pacely) Stateler.
Eva, along with her husband, Delmar, farmed in Spencer County for many years.Â She enjoyed playing cards, camping, fishing, flower gardening, traveling and spending time with her family.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Delmar Schroeder; her sister, Dorothy Huser and brothers Joey Stateler, Delbert Stateler, Ernest Stateler, J. W. Stateler and Otis "Mutt" Stateler.
Eva is survived by her brother, Paul Stateler and his wife, Emma of Boonville; her nieces, Betty Douglas and her husband, Sam of Midway, Delberta Forbes and her husband, Tony of Evansville, Phyllis Lewis of Hobart and Janice Holtry of Evansville; her nephews, Kenneth Stateler and his wife, Evelyn of Florida and her caretakers, nephew Dennis Shreve and his wife, Sharon of Tell City.
Services were conducted Wednesday, March 13, at the Boultinghouse Funeral Home in Rockport. Adrienne Tanner officiated.Â Burial was in Grandview Cemetery in Grandview.
