Goldie M. Sprinkle, 87, passed away Wednesday, Oct. 3, 2012, at Perry County Memorial Hospital in Tell City.

She was born, at home in Apalona, Feb. 3, 1925, daughter of the late Henry and Bridget (Sprinkle) Flamion.ÊAlso preceding her in death were her sisters, Florence Hubert andÊHettie Pierrard; brothers Derrel, William and Homer Flamion and a great-grandson, Bryce Fenwick.
ÊGoldie married Homer Sprinkle Oct. 18, 1947, at St. John's Catholic Church in Bristow.ÊHe passed away in 2006. A homemaker, she enjoyed playing cards, working crossword puzzles, cross stitching, quilting and watching World Wrestling Entertainment shows.ÊShe was a member of St. Isidore Catholic Church, where she helped with funeral meals.
Surviving are her daughters, Rosetta Roberts of Bristow and Annette Underhill (Danny) of Doolittle Mills; a son, Wayne Sprinkle (Tammy) of Tell City; a brother, Ivan Flamion (Nellie) of Bristow; grandchildren Brad Schraner, Nathan Schraner, Amy Fenwick, Sarah Rhodes, Leanne Sprinkle, Steve Underhill, Eric Underhill, Bobby Joe Underhill and Elsa Underhill and 15 great-grandchildren.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 6, at St. Isidore Catholic Church with burial in the church cemetery.ÊThe Rev. Guy Mansini OSB will officiate.
Visitation will be from 2 until 8 p.m. Friday, Oct. 5, and from 8:30 until 9:15 a.m. Saturday at Huber Funeral Home, Tell City Chapel.ÊThere will be a prayer service at 6 p.m. Friday.
