Gregory P. McLain, 61, of Evansville passed away Wednesday, Jan. 23, 2013, at St. Mary's Medical Center in Evansville.
Greg was a route associate for Hostess for 12 years and a member of Salem United Methodist Church. He was active in Boy Scout Troop 336 and was an amateur radio enthusiast. He was an avid fisherman.
Greg was preceded in death by his father, Robert McLain.
He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Nancy (Hyneman) McLain; a son, Aaron McLain of Evansville; a daughter, Kathy (Drew) Olson of Paducah, Ky.; grandchildren Kyle and Leah Olson; his mother, Jodey McLain of Tell City; his father-in-law, Charles Hyneman of Mount Olympus; a sister, Gayla (Dave) Steffe; his brothers-in-law, Arthur (Debbie) Hyneman, Don Hyneman and Gary (Phyllis) Hyneman and nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will begin at 10 a.m. Monday, Jan. 28, (today) at Ziemer Funeral Home North Chapel, 6300 N. First Ave., in Evansville. The Rev. Randy Anderson will officiate. Visitation was set for 2 to 7 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 27, at the funeral home.
Burial will be at Locust Hill Cemetery.
