Hazel C. Heck, 89, passed away Monday, Jan. 28, 2013, at Perry County Memorial Hospital.

She was born March 21, 1923, in Reynolds Station, Ky., daughter of the late John and Agnes (Bivins) Gillians.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur Heck; a sister, Mary Jo Smith; a brother, Bud Gillians and a granddaughter in infancy.
She had worked at the Perry County Agriculture Office, enjoyed crocheting, needlepoint, quilting and flower gardening. Hazel also was a good cook.
Hazel is survived by daughters Joyce Roberts (Thurman) of Tell City and Roberta Seibel (Gary) of Butler, Ky.; a sister, Gladys Coon; her grandchildren, Faith Snyder (Joe), Robie Roberts, (Shannon), Travis Dermon (Kim) and Mike Dermon (Tanya); nine great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at noon Saturday, Feb. 2, at Huber Funeral Home, Tell City Chapel, with burial in Cliff Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until service time Saturday.
