James M. 'Jim' Morgan, 73, passed away Saturday, Dec. 22, 2012, at Oakwood Health Campus in Tell City.

He was born in Wendover, Ky., May 16, 1939. His parents were the late Cecil and Verna (Shell) Morgan. Also preceding him in death was a brother, Hobart Morgan.
Jim married Mary Washburn April 18, 1960, in Virginia.
He retired after 20 years in the U.S. Navy. Jim was the owner and operator of Morgan's Trucking, later retiring and working part-time delivering cars for A & G Motors.
Jim enjoyed golfing, fishing, traveling and spending time with family and friends.
Surviving him are his wife, Mary Rose; his sons, Allen Morgan (Lorraine) of Tell City, Jay Morgan (Lori) of St. Cloud, Fla.; daughters Mary Deimen (Michael) of Jasper and Sharon James (Darin) of Tell City; a sister, Lois Morgan of Wendover, Ky.; his brothers, J.G. Morgan (Juanetta) of Wendover and Kennith Allen Morgan (Pearl Ann) of Dayton, Ohio; grandchildren Healther Morgan, Holly Morgan, Austin Saalman, Delaney Saalman, Casey James and Clay James and two great-grandchildren, Jayden and Elijah.
Funeral services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 27, (today) at Huber Funeral Home, Tell City Chapel, with burial in Greenwood Cemetery, where military rites will be conducted.
Visitation was set for 3 until 7 p.m. Wednesday and from 9 a.m. until service time today. The Rev. Dr. Elmer Shelby will officiate.
