TELL CITY - Janet E. (Flamion) Meyer Kempf, 74, passed away Saturday, July 6, 2013, at Deaconess Hospital in Evansville.

She was born in Perry County May 30, 1939.Â Her parents were the late John William "Bill" Flamion and Alma (Hagman) Flamion.,br>Also preceding her in death were her infant twin brothers and a granddaughter, Katie Elizabeth Rhodes.
A 1957 graduate of Tell City High School, Jan was the registrar of vital records for Perry County, where she had been employed for more than 20 years. She especially enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren.
Surviving are Henry Kempf; her children, Leisa Rhodes (John Ecker) of Tell City, Daniel Meyer (Myra Prewitt-Meyer) of Louisville, Ky., Marty Meyer (Shelly) of Jasper and Seneca "Ritter" Meyer (Cristina Lindsey) of Dale; a twin brother, James E. Flamion (Judi) of Newburgh; her grandchildren, Ian Abel and Elijah Asher Meyer, Ivy Rhodes and Jordan Rhodes, and Mallory, Maris, Hadley and Arian Meyer and a great-granddaughter, Luciana DePiano.
Funeral services were conducted Tuesday, July 9, at Huber Funeral Home, Tell City Chapel, with burial in St. Mary's Cemetery.Â The Rev. Gerald Frye officiated.
