Lois (Risse) Braun, 79, passed away Tuesday, Jan. 15, 2013, at 7:15 a.m. at Oakwood Health Campus in Tell City.

Lois was born March 19, 1933, in Troy to Charles and Ethel (Parr) Risse.
She was married July 6, 1957, to David Braun.
Lois had worked at General Electric, Perry County Memorial Hospital, where she served an EMT and was general manager of Diamond Lanes Bowling Center in Tell City.
Lois was a member of St. Pius Catholic Church. She enjoyed bowling, pitching horseshoes and was a fan of the St. Louis Cardinals.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband, James Wolf; a daughter, Debbie Dickman; brothers Larry and Gene Risse and sisters Mary Poole and Charlotte O'Brien.
Surviving are her husband of 55 years, David W. Braun Sr. of Tell City; her children, Doug (Sheila) Wolf, David Jr. (Debbie) Braun and Darla Hempfling, all of Tell City; her sisters, Joan Eiden of Dallas, Texas, and Maxine Cotton of Evanston; 12 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Friday, Jan. 18, at Zoercher-Gillick Funeral Home. The Rev. Dennis Duvelius will officiate. Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 17, (today) and from 9 a.m. until service time Friday at the funeral home.
