Margarett Parks Obituary

TELL CITY – Margarett Parks, 87, passed away Sunday, Jan. 25, 2015, at Oakwood Heath Campus.
She was born July 30, 1927, to the late Ida Josephine (Garrett) and Willliam Trumbo. Also preceding her in death were her husband, Andy Parks; a brother, Earl Trumbo; and sisters Jean Real, Anna Ruth Burkhart, Minnie Basaldua and Jo Dick.
Margarett was a member of First Baptist Church of Tell City.
Surviving are her children, Kevin (Elaine) Parks of Sterling, Va., Kathi (Paul) Held of Tell City and Becky Bertram of Owensboro, Ky.; five grandchildren, Heather Kimbler, James Parks, Amanda Gannon, Zach Bertram and Maggie Hawes; and 11 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 28, at Zoercher-Gillick Funeral Home. The Rev. Dan Hopkins will officiate. Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be to First Baptist Church.
