TELL CITY – Mary Maxine Hubert, 86, passed away Oct. 3, 2018, at her home.
She was born in Tell City, Indiana on Jan. 7, 1932, to Hazel (Snyder) Gordon. Also preceding her in death was her sister, Bettye Albin and her brothers, Gerald and Jimmy Gordon.
Maxine was a graduate of Bristow High School and soon went to work at General Electric for 40 years, retiring in 1989. She was united in marriage on June 27, 1987, to Norman A. Hubert. She was a member of Troy First Christian Church and enjoyed reading, word puzzles, playing piano, bowling and traveling, especially to Branson, Mo.
Surviving are her husband of 31 years, Norman A. Hubert of Tell City; her nieces and nephews, Vicki Harding (Richard) of Jasper, Kim Albin (Gary Brahm) of Bristow, Jeff Albin (Tammie Picou) of Cannelton, Dr. Greg Gordon (Kim) of Jasper and Steve Gordon (Lisa) of Lamar; and six great nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 11 Saturday, Oct. 6, at Huber Funeral Home, Tell City Chapel. Brother Ray Howard will officiate. Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday from 3 to 7 p.m. and Saturday from 9 to 11 a.m. at the funeral home.
