TELL CITY – Mary L. Strobel, 82, passed away on Thursday, Nov. 7, 2013, at Perry County Memorial Hospital.

She was born in Cannelton March 22, 1931. Her parents were the late Godfrey Michael Keiser and Florence (Keating) Keiser. Also preceding her in death were a grandson, Ben Strobel and a son-in-law, Allen Kempf.
A graduate of Cannelton High School, Mary married Urban John Strobel Aug. 24, 1957, at St. Michael Catholic Church in Cannelton. She had worked at Dauby's Department, General Electric and the Holiday World Bake Shop.
Surviving are her husband of 56 years, Urban Strobel; her children, Michael Strobel (Erin Hayden), Dennis Strobel (Kathy Clark), Bernie Strobel (Judy Stuffel), Joanie Howland (Michael) and Lee Ann Huebschman (Jay); her sisters, Jean Glenn and Rita Northcott; her grandchildren, Robin Strobel (Natalie), Brandy Graves (Michael), Jeremy Kempf (Breanna), Eric Frizzell, Matthew Strobel (Jessica) and Will Strobel and her great grandchildren, Nolan Strobel, Noah Strobel, Harper DeVries, Henry Mullen, Isaac Strobel and Molly Strobel.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday at St. Pius Catholic Church in Troy, with burial in St. Mary's Cemetery. Visitation will be from 3 to 8 p.m. Friday and from 11:30 until 12:30 p.m. Saturday at Huber Funeral Home, Tell City Chapel.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital.
