TELL CITY – Monia Lehman, 86, passed away Oct. 4, 2018, at Perry County Memorial Hospital in Tell City.
Born April 26, 1932, in Bristow, she was the daughter of John and Mary (Foster) McKim. She married Leonard Lehman on April 9, 1955. Monia was a school crossing guard in Tell City for 50 years. Loving people and God was her passionate mission for life. Whether you were family, friend, or stranger you were one of her own.
Survivors include her husband, Leonard of Tell City; her children, LaVerne Douglas of Greenfield, Trudy (Rick) Hendrickson of Dawson Springs, Ky., and Steven (Stacey) Lehman of Jasper; her four grandchildren, Thea (Josh) Parish and girls, Maddy and Mylee, Chelsea (Willis) Welp, Caleb Lehman and Keyla Lehman.
Preceding her in death were her parents; her daughter, Lora Gay Lehman; and her siblings, Leafa Andry, Fphedale McKim, Dorothy Kramer, Odowl McKim, and Carl McKim.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 9, at Zoercher-Gillick Funeral Home with Rick Hendrickson officiating. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery. Visitation will be from 3 to 7 p.m. Monday, Oct. 8 and from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to the EUCC Benevolent Fund.
