TELL CITY - Paul L. "Spark" Jarboe Jr., 67, died peacefully Monday, Sept. 23, 2013, in Westerville, Ohio.

Spark was born in Washington, D.C. July 3, 1946, and raised in Tell City.
He earned a bachelor's degree in mathematics and physics from the University of Evansville, and a master's degree in computer operating systems and operations from the University of Missouri at Rolla. Spark loved science and enjoyed operating high-end remote-controlled cars and launching toy rockets.Â He had a successful information-technology career spanning more than 35 years.
He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
Surviving are his siblings, Sister Angela Jarboe of Our Lady of Grace Monastery in Beech Grove, Tim Jarboe of Ferdinand, Germaine Bauer of Shelbyville and Pat Jarboe of Cannelton, as well as many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Mary Jo (Bengert) Jarboe; his father, Paul Jarboe Sr., and a brother, Terry Jarboe.
Funeral services will be at 4 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 26, (today) at Zoercher-Gillick Funeral Home. The Rev. Bernie Etienne will officiate.Â Burial will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 3 to 4 p.m. today at the funeral home.
