LEOPOLD - Wanda A. Flamion, 89, passed away Monday, July 22, 2013, at her home.
She was born Nov. 18, 1923, in Hancock County, Ky., daughter of the late William and Eva (Aldridge) Shearn. Also preceding her in death were her husband, Russell Flamion in 2005; brothers Parvin, Russell and Tom Shearn and a sister, Archie Howard.
She was the owner of Flamion's General Store in Mount Pleasant for 32 years. A member of Branchville United Methodist Church and Alton American Legion Auxiliary, Wanda enjoyed playing cards, sewing, dancing and riding her four-wheeler.
Wanda is survived by her three daughters, Sheila Allinger (Eddie) of Mount Pleasant,  Sherry Knieriem (Jerome) of Magnet and Vickie Flamion of Leopold; a sister, Lella Jo Hammack of Tell City; five grandchildren, Jason Allinger, Natalie Allinger Polk, Ryan Knie-riem, Aaron Knieriem and Kyle Knieriem and 12 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, July 25, (today) at Huber Funeral Home, Tell City Chapel with burial in German Ridge Cemetery near Oriole. The Rev. Bill Reid will officiate.
Visitation will be from 9 until 11 a.m. today at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Branchville United Methodist Church or German Ridge Cemetery.
