Wilma L. "Bobbie" Whitehead, 93, passed away Nov. 12, 2017, at Oakwood Health Campus in Tell City.
She was born in Cannelton, on July 28, 1924, to the late Will and Jessie (May) Heck. Also preceding her in death were her husband, Donald Whitehead in 2015, and brothers, Billy, Claude and Arthur Heck.
Bobbie was a 1942 graduate of Cannelton High School. She had worked at General Electric and as a teacher's aide with Perry Central Community Schools. She was a member of Rome United Methodist Church, where she valued her church family and community. Bobbie enjoyed quilting and gardening.
Surviving are her children, Dona Whitehead of Louisville, Ky., and Scott Whitehead (Angela Chapman) of Rome; and grandchildren, Claire, Isaac and Marie.
Funeral services were Wednesday, Nov. 15, 2017, at Huber Funeral Home, Tell City Chapel. Pastor Sharon Summers will officiate. Burial will follow in New Cliff Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Rome United Methodist Church and Heart To Heart Hospice. Online condolences may be left for the family at www.huberfuneralhome.net.
