TELL CITY – Helen Louise Lilleston Humston, 82, formerly of Tell City, passed away Sunday, Feb. 23, 2014, at her home in Advance, N.C. She was born Feb. 7, 1932, in Mt. Vernon, to Pete and Violet Acord Lilleston. Helen loved gardening, painting, making dolls, writing songs and poetry. She was also an avid dog lover, with Harry being her latest and best dog.

Preceding her in death were her husband, Richard Humston; a son, Butch Humston; granddaughter, Rachel Ray; sisters, Liddy and Antoinette Lilleston and Betty Springer; a brother, Arnold Boyer; and her dog, Harry.
Surviving are two daughters, Sherri Ray and Sharon Humston; two grandchildren, Richard Anderson and Jessica Anderson; five sisters and three brothers.
A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, March 1, at Zoercher-Gillick Funeral Home. Burial will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday. Memorial contributions may be made to the Juvenile Diabetes Association.
