TELL CITY – Rosalie A. Henning, 84, of Tell City, passed away Sunday, March 9, 2014, at St. Mary's Medical Center in Evansville.
Rosalie was born in Perry County August 19, 1929, to the late John Amos and Sally Kessner Amos.
She was also preceded in death by her brothers, Walter and Robert Amos and sisters, Ruth Hinton, Helen Miller and Joyce Mulzer.
Rosalie was a 1947 graduate of Tell City High School. She was united in marriage to Herman Henning November 26, 1950, at Evangelical United Church of Christ, where they maintained their membership to the present. Rosalie was an employee of General Electric until 1984, when a stroke forced her retirement. She enjoyed her family, especially spending time with her grandchildren.
Rosalie is survived by her husband of 63 years, Herman "Bud" Henning, her sons, Gary Genet of Kennesaw, Ga., David Henning Boyet Stevens, of Mason, Ohio and daughter, Rhea Gehlhausen of Tell City; her sister, Carolyn Walters of Tell City; seven grandchildren, Logan and Brooks Genet, Elizabeth and Jack Henning, Chad, Seth and Adam Gehlhausen and one great-grandson, Hank Gehlhausen.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, March 12, at Huber Funeral Home, 1139 12th Street, Tell City, Indiana with the Rev. J.T. Hills officiating. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery. Visitation will be from 3 to 7 p.m. Tuesday and from 10 to 11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
