ST. CROIX – Rosemary LaGrange, 97, formerly of St. Croix, passed away at 1:45 p.m. July 3, 2014, at Brookside Village in Jasper.

She was born near Branchville March 5, 1917, the daughter of the late Fred and Bertha (Carmickle) Saddler. Also preceding her in death were her sister, Becky Hood, her brother Dallis Saddler and her husband, Clyde Lagrange, in July of 2011.
Rosemary graduated from Oil Township High School, later marrying Clyde LaGrange June 2, 1938, at St. Augustine Catholic Church in Leopold. She and her husband owned and operated a grocery store and gas station in St. Croix for 30 years.
Rosemary was a member of Holy Cross Church in St. Croix, where she was active for many years in various capacities. In later years, she resided in Jasper. She was a fan of Indiana University basketball and the St. Louis Cardinals.
Surviving are her son Larry Lagrange (Jenny) of Jasper; grandsons, Nathan Lagrange (Tricia) of Indianapolis; Aaron Lagrange (Sarah) of Spencer and Justin Lagrange (Megan) of Evansville and six great-grandchildren.
A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, July 8, at Holy Cross Catholic Church, with the Rev. Brian Esarey officiating and burial in the church cemetery. There will be visitation from 9:30 a.m. until service time at the church. Huber Funeral Home, Tell City Chapel is handling the services.
