TELL CITY – Larry E. Taylor, 57, passed away July 8, 2014, at his home. He was born in Perry County Oct. 9, 1956, son of Velma (Ford) Taylor and the late Wilbur E. Taylor. Also preceding him in death was an infant brother, Wilbur Louis Taylor and a granddaughter, Iyera Taylor.

A 1975 graduate of Tell City High School, Larry retired in 2000 as an inspector for INDOT.
Larry was united in marriage to Cathy Durbin May 20, 2000, at the Gospel Tabernacle Church.
He enjoyed his friends, fishing, hunting, tinkering, sitting by the fire, his dogs, playing Santa Claus, and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. Larry was an honorary member of Southern Indiana Biker Buds.
Larry is survived by his wife of 14 years, Cathy Taylor; sons, Larry L. "Louis" Taylor (Von Manning) of Clarksville and Allen E. Taylor (Shianne) of Tell City; daughter, Tiffany Risse (Gary) of Cannelton; mother, Velma Taylor of Tell City; brothers, Rick Taylor (Juanita) of Newtonville and Barry Taylor (Karen Oost) of Derby; sister, Angela Claise (Harry) of Cannelton; brother-in-law, Robert Durbin (Jerrie) of Cannelton; grandchildren, Autumn and Briahna Taylor; Gary, Felicia, and Karrie Risse, and nine great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, July 12, at Huber Funeral Home, Tell City Chapel, with burial in Lilly Dale Cemetery. The Rev. Tim Dotson will officiate.
Visitation will be from 2 to 8 p.m. Friday and from 9 a.m. until service time Saturday.
