T. Marguerite "Midge" Smith passed away peacefully at her home in Petaluma, CA September 3, 2012 at the age of 95. She was preceded in death by her husband Chuck of 69 years.

Midge was born March 8, 1917 in Ransom. Kansas. Midge and Chuck married in 1935 and farmed in Arnold, Kansas before moving to Lancaster, CA where they owned a ranch. In 1953 they moved to Grass Valley, CA, and owned a Mobil Oil franchise, later moving to Carson City, Nevada where they owned Mound House Propane Co. Midge loved to knit and crochet all her life and leaves many keepsakes for her family. Midge worked for the Carson City Library until she retired. In 1982 Chuck and Midge moved to Cave Junction, Oregon where they lived when not traveling in their motor home. After Chuck's death December 21, 2004, she moved to Petaluma, CA to be near her daughter Sally and son-in-law Roger Burk.

Loving Grandmother of Scott Burk of Clifton, VA, Jon Burk of Fairfield, CA, Steven Burk of Rohnert Park, CA, Bart Smith of Roseburg, OR, Dale Combs of Grants Pass, OR and C.J. Smith of Dolores, CO. She was a Great Grandmother of 15 and Great Great Grandmother of six. She was a proud member of the Petaluma Women of the Moose and made many friends and acquaintances while living in Petaluma.
Midge loved being with her family and will be sorely missed by family and friends.
