Passed away in Petaluma, CA, May 12, 2012, beloved husband of Leanne. Loving father of Michael , Mark (Meka Byrne) and Jodi (Ted) Jones. Adored grandfather of Garrett, Adeline, Priscilla, Teddy and Henry Jones. Dear brother of Kathleen Barry and the late John McGrady. Beloved uncle of Lisa, Shawna, Jami and Tiffany. Also survived by the Newlun families in Washington and Bacon families of Utah. Lifetime friend of Ed and Sharon Millan.
A native of Butte, Montana. Age 71 years. Michael was a member of St. James Knights of Columbus, Petaluma #901 BPOE and the Ancient Order of Hibernians of Sonoma. He was a good athlete and enjoyed coaching young people in football, baseball and track. He was respected as an amateur boxer in his youth and was a runner up Golden Glove champion for Montana.
Visitation will be Monday, May 21, 2012 from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm at PARENT-SORENSEN MORTUARY & CREMATORY, Petaluma. The Vigil Service will be at 7:00 pm at the mortuary. Family and friends are also invited to attend the Funeral Mass, Tuesday, May 22, 2012 at 11:00 am at St. James Catholic Church, 125 Sonoma Mountain Parkway, Petaluma. Private interment, Holy Cross Cemetery, Butte, Montana. The family prefer that memorials be made to the Michael J. Fox Foundation.
