Martha Sovel passed away at her Petaluma residence on June 13, 2012. Devoted wife of the late Charles "Herb" Sovel. Loving mother of Mark S. Horn of Petaluma and Dorothy M. (Aric) Cook of Chico, CA. Dear step-mother of Stephen Lee (Judy) Sovel of Petaluma and the late Richard Eugene Sovel. Cherished grandmother of eight and great-grandmother of seven. Adored sister of Helen M. Frazer of Sebastopol and Evelyn J. Nankervis of Medford, OR. Survived by several nieces and nephews.
Born, reared and educated in Petaluma, Martha enjoyed playing cards with friends and gambling at the casinos. She was born to Margaret (Von Bargen) and Carl Mehl.
