Edith was born in San Francisco on June 11, 1919, reared and educated in Alameda where she resided before moving to Santa Rosa in 1942. She married David at St. Rose Catholic Church in Santa Rosa on Nov. 11, 1945 and together they enjoyed 54 years of marriage. Edith and Dave owned and operated the Valley Ford Market for 15 years which included working in the U.S. Post Office located inside the Market. In 1968, they built the current post office across the street, which they operated until retiring in 1990. Edith cherished spending time with her family and took great pleasure in cooking the traditional Italian foods that everyone loved. Edith and Dave also delighted in attending all the local Italian dinner dances. Edith was a wonderful, devoted Mom and will be truly missed by the many people that were touched by her caring ways.
The family wants to extend heartfelt gratitude to the wonderful caregivers Rina, May, and Cece at White Rose Manor. These amazing compassionate ladies made the last 5 ½ years of Mom's life very comfortable.
