Karen and Andrea, I had been away for the past week and returned on September 9. I was sad to hear that your father passed away and I want to express my deep sympathy for the loss of your dad. I enjoyed being one of Col. Dann's nurses at Lakeview and loved spending any extra time I had with him and his sweet, black kitty, Macy. You and your family are in my thoughts and prayers, and I will certainly miss him.

I wasn't a member of the 358th CA Bde until after Al's retirement, though I had the pleasure of serving with daughter Karen in the 416th CA Bn. Liz and I send our best wishes with sympathy for the loss to the community (as well as the family) of this great patriot.

Andrea and Karen,
Anita's parayers and mine are with you and you families.
Your dad was one of the two sharpest minds,I ever met in my 38 years in USA.
He was a man full of integrity and dignity.
He proudly served US with honor and dedication.
May he rest in peace and his memories bring us joy and hapiness for having known him.

Al,you were one of my mentors in the military. One of the finest officers I have known. I am saddened by your death. There aren't many of us old-time 358th alumni left. My deepest sympathies to the Dann family. Your old friend and subordinate, Harry
