ALDEN C. "DUTCH", of Lafayette Hill, PA, passed away Dec. 14, 2013. He was born in Altoona, PA on Nov. 15, 1927. He graduated from Altoona High School and earned a degree from Penn State University. Mr. Ulrich served in the U.S. Army from 1946 to 1952. He was a member and Past Commander of American Legion Post #100. He worked in Truck Management for Canada Dry Beverage Co. and Sales for Multi Flow Dispensers and later owned and operated Dutch's Tavern in Oreland until his retirement. Dutch's life passion was his family, music and the arts. Some of his most memorable accomplishments were performance with the Bucks County Playhouse, the Stagecrafters Theater and singing with the Now Time Singers Chorus Group. He also enjoyed skiing, tennis and railroad memorabilia. Alden Ulrich is survived by his wife Peggy Mac Laren Ulrich, 4 children and their spouses, Gary Ulrich and Rosemary McCabe, Larry and Minwha Ulrich, Patti Jo and Robert Fasching, and David and Michelle Ulrich, 8 grand-children, 6 great grandchildren and a sister-in-law Shirley Ulrich, nieces and nephews. A Memorial Service will be held at HANCOCK FUNERAL HOME LTD., 8018 Roosevelt Blvd. (at Rhawn St.), Phila. on Friday, Dec. 20th at 11 A.M. Visitation beginning at 10 A.M.
