HOGAN, SR.

SEAN fought harder than any man possible to get a surgery of an inoperable tumor. He achieved that goal. We sadly lost him cancer free in ICU during recovery on Sept. 23, 2013.
Sean waited his whole life to marry the love of his life, Patty Anne. When marrying Patty Anne, he married the Reilly Family. Loving, loyal husband and soul mate of Patty Anne Hogan. Dedicated and devoted father of Sean Francis Jr. and Faith Marie. He is survived by his brothers and sisters, James, Joe Pat, Joanne, Lisa (Gus) and the late Patrice. Best uncle to Seana, Joe Pat and Christopher. Son of the late James and Toni Hogan. Survived by Linda Hogan, Tommy Mellon and Diane Mellon.
Sean was a Phila. Firefighter at Ladder 2 who served in the U.S. Air Force. Sean was the most dedicated family man. To Sean, family came first. His closest friends were his family.
Sean "Butchie" was famous for his one-liners, the zinger. He had an innate ability to light up a room. Sean will be loved and missed every day of our lives and has left a hole in our hearts.
Relatives, friends and members of Phila. Fire Dept. are invited to his Viewing Thursday eve, 6 to 9 P.M., and Friday, from 8 to 9:30 A.M., BURNS FUNERAL HOME, 9708 Frankford Ave. (So. of Grant Ave.). followed by his Funeral Mass, 10 A.M., St. Katherine of Siena Church. Int. Resurrection Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, family prefers donations to the Hogan Family Fund, c/o Phila. Police and Fire Credit Union, 3330 Grant Ave., Phila. PA 19114, in Sean's memory.
