GORMAN


VINCENT C., JR. 73, of Media, a retired Army Lieutenant Colonel, died January 4, 2013, at his residence in Riddle Village. Born in Philadelphia to the late Vincent C, and Elizabeth (Duffy) Gorman, he was raised in Doylestown. He recieved his BA from Widener University and his M.ED from the College of William and Mary.
During his 20-year military career, he served two tours in Vietnam, was Commander of the 42nd MP detachment in Germany, and was Profesor of Military Science at Widener University 1979-1983.
Retiring from the Army in 1983 he became Director of the Annual Fund and Planned Giving at Widener, he was a Registered Broker and Financial Consultant, and Certified Financial Planner with numerous banks, most recently with First Niagara Bank. He was past president of many Community Organizatons recently appointed to Riddle Village Board of Directors.
Survived by his wife of 40 years, Nelda Gunn Gorman, numerous nieces and nephews and cousins. Relatives and friends are invited to his Funeral Mass Wed, Jan. 9th at 10:30 A.M. in Nativity of the B.V.M. Church 30 E. Franklin St., Media. Calling 9-10:15 A.M. in church.
