WILLIAM, December 12, 2012 of Philadelphia, PA. Beloved husband of Bertha (nee Wolfman), and father of Carol (Martin) Rosenblum and Ellen (Howard) Goldberg. He was Pop-Pop to Zachary (Sara) Goldberg, Jennifer (Daniel) Rosenthal, Matthew Goldberg, and Ben (Amy) Rosenblum, and to his great-grandchildren Samuel and Louis Rosenthal and Sophia Goldberg. Bill is also survived by a sister, Mae Gottlieb, and was pre-deceased by sisters Mina Maidman and Mildred Zeldin and a brother, Sidney Remer.
A WWII Veteran, Bill served with General Chenault's Flying Tigers. Bill was the owner of Rem Auto Supply along with his lifelong friend and business partner, the late Lou Silverman. A devoted servant of the State of Israel and the Jewish community, Bill worked tirelessly chairing and serving on numerous boards and committees.
Relatives and friends are invited Sunday beginning 12:30 P.M. to PLATT MEMORIAL CHAPELS, Inc. 2001 Berlin Rd., Cherry Hill, NJ where Funeral Services will begin promptly at 1:00 P.M. Int. Locustwood Mem. Park. The family will return to the home of Carol and Martin Rosenblum.
