WILLIAM VOSBURGH Obituary
WILLIAM WALLACE, longtime Professor at Bryn Mawr College died at home on Fri. Sept. 12, 2014. He is survived by his wife, Miriam; and his children, Alinda, William, Roderick and John. Relatives and friends are invited to attend his Graveside Service on Saturday Sept. 20, 2 P.M. at Washington Memorial Chapel Cem., Route 23 in Valley Forge Park, conducted by Rev. Dr. Charles Grant. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Montgomery Co. SPCA, 19 E. Ridge Pike, PO Box 222, Conshohocken, PA 19428-0222.

It is with sadness that I write these few words in memory of Bill. Bill was a major influence on our family. His keen, critical academic mind was a great model for my three children to have the privilege of seeing.
Travel with Bill and Mim (in America, Japan and New Zealand) was always fun and filled with Bill leading discussions on the history and politics of the areas visited. His knowledge was broad and deep and he delighted in finding books and information about issues that interested us. I would know far less about my American Van Ness family without Bill's researches. He will be a great loss to all the second hand book shops he loved so much.
We will all miss him.

My dearest Grandpere will be missed. He was much loved by his grandchildren. He played an important role in my life and I really appreciate the time I spent living with him and Grandmere while at school in the US. Special were our friendly races to finish the cryptogram first, lively history lessons and travels together. It was a great time that I treasure. Grandpere was a supportive, humorous person and we shared many laughs together both in the US and during his visits to New Zealand. He will always be in my heart.
