BERTRAM H., JR., April 27, 2012, of Bryn Mawr, PA. Beloved husband of Patricia Snead (Cronin). Devoted father of Bertram H., III. (Mattie), Philip A. (Kerrie) and the late James Christopher Snead. Dear brother of the late Edwin E. Snead. He is also survived by many loving relatives and friends. Funeral Mass Wed. May 2, 2012, 11 A.M. at Our Mother of Good Counsel Church, 31 Pennswood Rd., Bryn Mawr, PA 19010. Relatives and friends may visit at the Church after 9:30 A.M. Int. Calvary Cem. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Church or to Children's Hospital of Phila. Foundation, Lockbox 1352, P.O. Box 8500, Phila. PA 19178-1352.

My condolences to the extended Snead family. My memory of Bert is that of a true gentleman. In the Summer of 1981 Patsy and Bert welcomed Brother Joe and his five wayward friend into their home with much kindness and hospitality. As Patsy cleaned us up and fed us, Bert engaged us in thoughtfull coversation culminating in a poker game that went for hours. A memory to treasure. May Bert rest in God's peace

Pat and Phil,
I have many fond memories of your husband, Phil's father, and my friend. Many of those memories are of his smile, his gentleness, his perspective, his laugh. My favorite, of course, is the card game with my friends while travelling across the country. We stayed at your place, six guys...visiting colleges, having a great summer week. Your husband welcomed us graciously, set up a fun game of cards, laughed with us until dawn. Great high school memory!! Smile every time I think of it.
Celebrate a true gentleman!!!
Most importantly Pat, he was your husband and partner. You two have been a great team and produced a great son who will carry on. God bless Bert!
