Happy Birthday, cousin. You're pretty much the only person my age on my granddad's side of my family that's closest to my age. I just wish I could've been able to hang out with you. Things could've been different. Instead of celebrating your memory today, we'd probably be celebrating our May birthdays together. Maybe one day.....

To the Griffin family, my condolenceses goes out to each and everyone of U. In the short time that I got 2 know Eddie I realized that he was a true brother from another mother. Always real and true. It was like I looked up 2 him but I was older than him. I would tell my kids about him. He will be missed in alot of ways but mainly for him being real and true at all times no matter the situation. To the Griffin/Powell Family;
I am deeply saddened by the lost of Eddie. In knowing Marvin for many years beginning college together at the Univesity of Hartford, I met Eddie when he was two years old when Marvin would bring him to our games with his mom. To see him grow up during his adolescent years in Connecticut was a wonderful time. Then to see him grow to be 6"10 and just a wonderful well mannered young man was a testiment to the family on how he was raised to be respectful to others. Eddie was a caring , mild mannered, and big hearted person. I was it total shock when I heard the news beacuse all of the memories of hangin out with him and Marvin came back to light. To the family I love each and every one of you and think of all the wonderful times and the joy that Eddie set upon you. He is in a better place now and I know that he is being watch over by god. Also he is comfortable knowing that he is with his big brother who is looking out after him.

Griffin Family,
I am truely sorry for the lost of your loved one and my prayers are with you. Eddie was always a loving person with a good heart and you didn't need this tragedy to be able to express that. Eddie was a friend of mine who I worked with when he played with Houston. He may have seem quite and collective but to those who knew him he had a great sense of humor and thats what i shall remember. God bless you Eddie and look down on us my friend.
