I worked for Bernie while I attended Drexel (mid 90's). I helped him computerize his company books. I think I learned more about business and life during those afternoons, than my years at Drexel. Thanks for everything.
He was an all-time great kibitzer!

So many memories...
Sail boating with Bernie one afternoon and we flipped the boat. I was worried that Bernie might drown, so I swam over to him and got him tethered. When I asked if he was OK, he replied that he needed me to recover his pipe tobacco floating away on the horizon. It makes me laugh to think about it. The moment was so "Bernie."
This is a man who loved me all my life. We had our disagreements, but there was never any doubt about the love underneath it all. We just lived in two different worlds.
Glad I got to see him a few weeks ago so I could hug him and love him for what would be the last time. Hellers are characters, and Bernie was no exception.
Most of all, the love between him and my Dad- the strong sense of family obligation, has been a great life lesson to me. There are friends and there is family. Take care of your family, above all else.
Goodspeed Uncle Bernie. You will be missed.
