RYAN P., suddenly Jan. 13, 2012, age 23. Beloved son of Larry and Debra (nee Otis), loving brother of Gerald and Shayleigh (Dale) Kimble, grandson of Dolores McKnight and Patricia Carty, dear uncle of Kieran, Isabella, Andre and Mariah; also survived by many aunts, uncles and cousins. Relatives and friends are invited to his Viewing Friday 9:45 to 11:45 A.M. St. Katherine of Siena Church, 9700 Frankford Ave., Phila., PA 19114 followed by his Funeral Mass 12 Noon. Interment private. In lieu of flowers donations in his memory to Officer Daniel Boyle Scholarship Fund, c/o Archbishop Ryan High School, 11201 Academy Rd., Phila. 19154.

I was so saddened by the news of Ryan's passing. I did not know Ryan personally but my writing this shows that people do not realize that their life and death have a ripple effect that they are not even aware of. Im still in shock about the horrible news. I've known Ryan since grade school and even though we weren't the closest of friends, I was devastated to hear about Ryan's passing. Ryan was the nicest guy and out of everyone I know he had the biggest heart and always knew how to make people laugh. I can't imagine what his family is going through but I send my condolences to both his family and friends especially the immediate family. I'm keeping both him and his family in my prayers. Ryan, everytime I sit down to write a note to you I ended up deleting it. There are no words for how much I will miss you. You always lit up a room. You could make everyone laugh, without even trying. It still doesn't seem real to me!!! I love you soooooo much!!! I will miss you more then you will understand!!!!

Ryan, this does not seem real to me. I feel like i was just talking to you yesterday and catching up. You were one of my favorite people in highschool. I dont know what it was about you but we just clicked and got along great. You always made me laugh even though we had our moments and you drove me crazy :) . I hope you are at peace.

Ryan and I went to SKS and Archbishop Ryan together i never knew him as a friend just as a classmate/aquantince my only regret is that i wish i would have gotten to know him better:( I always did thought he was such a nice funny guy who had a big smile on his face almost every time i saw him:)this is such a terrible lost and my thoughts and prayers go out to his family and his friends stay strong everyone xoxoxoxo

Carty I'm going to miss you so much we had our fights like everyone else but we always got over them so quick and laughed about it and I always knew I could count on you ..... Ryan's joyful greetings will be sadly missed! He never passed up an opportunity to call out to my husband and me when he was visiting our neighbors, Mike Wynne and Tim Dever. Ryan and our daughters, Courtney & Kaitlin, were SKS grade school friends and he'd often ask about them when they were away from home for college. Our entire family shares the pain of your loss.
