Dear Pop-pop,
I have missed you terribly. You were my favorite pop-pop. I loved when you came to visit me because you were so funny and played with me all the time. I have many good memories of my times with you. I'm sorry I didn't get to see you before you passed away because I am away in college and have finals. When I get home in two weeks I'm going to sit and watch all our video tapes with you. I love watching them and remembering the fun times.
I love you and miss you,
Jenna Shmenna

Dear Daddy,
When I was a little girl, I fell in love with my hero. You were that hero. You sat with me when I was sick in the hospital more than once holding my hand and fed me Mom-Mom's chicken soup and your milk toast. Always, protecting me from harms way. You and Mom gave me the most memorable childhood that most kids only dream about. We were a family. But we all have to grow and you gave me away to another hero. Then Tyler came along and how proud you were. You were the only grandfather he knew. His Pop-pop. Loving memories will live on in our hearts forever. I won't say goodbye because I know I'll see you again and like the last time I talked to you, two weeks ago, you'll tell me you love me. Till then, I'll miss you.
I love you, Daddy,
Ellen

Dear Daddy,
Having been in my life since I was 7 years old you have been the only father I have known. I loved and respected you, and have so many wonderful memories of you. You supported me all through school and college. I was proud to have you give me away at my wedding and still cherish the memory of dancing with you at the reception to "Sunrise, Sunset." You were my rock during the rough times in my marriage. I remember how excited you were when I got pregnant with Jenna, and especially that my due date was on your birthday, but thanks to a snow storm that day she was delivered the next day! How the two of you loved each other! You were her Pop-pop, and her favorite playmate, and made each other laugh with your silly antics. We both always looked forward to spending time with you each week. Thankfully we have many videos of those times, and they will be cherished. I have continued to love you and have never thought of you as anything but my father. I only wish you could have seen what a terrific young woman Jenna has become. You have been and will always be loved and sadly missed.
Love always,
Susan
