I had the pleasure of working with Gerry (via Special Counsel) many years ago when I was still in Philly. He was such a kind and decent person. Always upbeat, respectful, professional...and just so unbelievably kind. I was heartbroken to learn of this loss and send prayers and condolences to his wife and family. Such a loss.

I have never had the privilege of meeting Gerry or his family and friends. From the wonderful things I've read and heard about him, I know he is the kind of man that everybody was drawn to like and love. Sometimes, something horrible happens in life, leaving you to wonder why. Please always know that Jesus is walking with you step-by-step. At times you may question why this happened; please know God has a plan for all of you. May God Bless and comfort you and your family and friends. May peace and love fill your hearts.

September 14, 2017

May God bless your family with comfort and peace.
Prayers always.

We met through hockey and had a natural connection, you being a defenseman and me a goalie. We had many laughs on the ice, in the locker room and the parking lot. You took the ribbing given you and gave it back just as well. Our group was better because you were a part of it. You will always be a part of it. We will never forget you. You heroic last act has touched us and will stay with us forever. See you on the other side my friend.

Such devastating news and my thoughts and prayers go out to the Grandzol family. Gerry landed me my first paralegal position about ten years ago and we still kept in touch over the years. He was one of those people you immediately liked upon meeting him. Very personable, genuine, and funny. He went out of his way to help me with my career when I was just getting started. Just a great all around guy and I'm grateful to have known him. Rest in Peace Gerry, may the angels lead you in.

Back in 2012-2013, I worked on Special Counsel projects for Gerry in Center City. He was always entertaining and helpful, even when it meant hobbling around on a broken/sprained foot moving computer screens here and there. He possessed a genuinely caring personality and it showed in everything he did. Gerry truly was one of the Special ones. My heart goes out to his family.
