CAROL CRAWFORD Obituary
CAROL ANN, 68 of Tierra Verde, passed away on Tuesday, April 26, 2016. Born in Philadelphia, Carol was raised in Ardmore, PA and attended St. Dennis and graduated from Haverford High School in 1965. She is preceded in death by her parents, Carl and Anne Alessi. She was a member of the Tierra Verde Woman's Club. Carol was very artistic and enjoyed handcrafting accessories and jewelry for her family and friends. She will always be remembered as being strong; she fought a courageous battle until the end.
Carol is survived by her loving husband of 48 years, Jerry; son Christopher; daughter Alyson; brother, Phillip (Mary); many nieces, nephews and friends. Carol's Memorial Service will be held Monday, May 2, 2016 at 10 A.M. at St. John's Vianney Catholic Church, St. Pete Beach. Visit the family's personalized online guestbook at

Dear Jerry, Christopher, Alyson:
I do not have adequate words to express my profound sadness at the loss of our Carol. There are so many memories. But, I have a recurring picture of Carol in Heaven making everything warm, comfortable and inviting, just as she did here on earth. I will miss her. My love to all of you.

Carol was so special to us, too. We could always count on her to make us laugh and to share her red licorice with us. We know she is resting peacefully in the arms of our Lord. May that same peace come to you in time.

Carol had the rare gifts of sparkle and smiles, and she shared them with abandon. All of us who were fortunate enough to have Carol as a friend will always remember her smiles and kindness and hopefully pass them on in her honor. Our deepest sympathy to Jerry and her children. She loved all of you like crazy!
