ALBERT JOSEPH, 96, passed peacefully in his sleep on Nov. 23, 2012 at Frederick Living Community. He was born on March 1, 1916 to Frank and Annacelia Savini. He was the oldest of five brothers and raised in Wayne PA. Albert graduated from Radnor High School in 1934. On June 1, 1940 he married his beloved wife Irma and they shared 68 years of married life together. Shortly after marrying Irma, Albert enlisted in the Marines during WWII where he served his country as an airplane mechanic with the Marine Airwing. After his years in the service, he worked as a tool and dye maker and moved to Rosemont PA with Irma where they raised their son Jay Savini and enjoyed traveling the world together. Albert loved the game of golf, watching sports on TV especially Villanova basketball. Albert's love and devotion to his entire family was evident in his Sunday ritual, where he would visit each of his brothers families to stay in touch with all of the events in the lives of his many nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his parents, his son Jay, his wife Irma, his brothers Michael, Warren and John Savini. Survivor: His younger brother Louis J Savini. A Mass of Christian Burial celebrating Albert Savini's life will be held at St. Thomas of Villanova Chapel, Rosemont on Thursday November 29th at 10 A.M. In lieu of flowers donations can be sent to Augustian Missions Guild PO Box 340 Villanova PA 19085-0340.
