ANN GRAY DOLAN, died peacefully on Wednesday, July 10, 2013 at her farm in Chester Springs, where she resided for 59 years. She was 88. Ann Gray was predeceased by her husband, William Mifflin Large, who died in 1967. Daughter of Thomas Dolan III and Edith Hutchinson Page, she grew up on Ashwood Farm in Devon, attended the Shipley School, and graduated from Miss Hall's School in Pittsfield, Mass.
She is survived by her daughters, Pamela Wade Latta and Priscilla Wade Belsinger; her grandchildren, William James Latta, Jr., Priscilla Latta Godek, Robert Wade Latta, and Nicholas Dolan Reynolds; and seven great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her brother Thomas Dolan IV, her stepson William Mifflin Large, Jr., and her former husband, Dr. George Robert Wade, father of Pam and Priscilla.
Ann Gray's primary focus throughout her life was her family, various volunteer endea-vors, including the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia and the French and Pickering Conservation Trusts, and all of her precious puppies, especially Dolly. In addition to her years of volunteering, she had an abiding passion for supporting many animal rights and rescue organizations.
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, July 27, at 11 A.M. at St. Peter's United Church of Christ, 1193 Clover Mill Rd., Chester Springs, Pa. 19425. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Ann Gray's memory to Main Line Animal Rescue, P.O. Box 89, Chester Springs, Pa. 19425.
