Unfortunately, I will not be able to make the memorial for your brother. We met at St. Francis and became fast friends based on our shared heritage, love for a good pint and having a laugh. There were plenty of the last two. To "Knee-her," I say affectionately: "How ya' doin'?" And, as many of our mutual acquaintances would understand, "Shane!" Slainte' you crazy, funny, twisted, lovable guy!

Dear Marianne & Barry,
I had not heard from Tony recently, and was concerned. Searched the Internet when I didn't hear for him and learned this terrible news. I met you and Barrie when you visited Tony and me in Jamaica. I knew Tony moved to PA. Please contact me to tell me what happened to my dear friend. My condolences to you and Caitlin. I'm in shock, honestly. Robin Gaither - [email protected]

As a person who knew no one in his family I pass on my condolences. Knowing nipsy from his college days where he was an "honorary Theta brother" was memorable to say the least. I thank the lord he was able to make to it the 2010 reunion where I saw him last, and laughed and partied almost as hard as we did way back then during those years. I am truly saddened.

I can't believe he's gone. He was everything Mike O'Connell said about him - and more. The last time I saw Nippsey, when Marianna's son was helping Johns Hopkins win the national lacrosse championship at the Linc, Nipps roared loud and proud. I swear that half the packed stadium looked more at him than the game. After the game, I remember being jostled and joked with while he made his noises and poked at us like we're back at Carroll. He will be dearly missed. You and the rest of the family have our thoughts and prayers, Marianna. He is with your dear parents now and they are celebrating his wonderful life.

Always a snappy dresser and good golfer, Nipsey was a true character that stood out in our class of '74. I recall a party at his across from the park, listening to Chuck Berry. It saddens me to hear of his passing. I pray that he finds peace and his soul is in heaven

Always a snappy dresser - I remember the saddle shoes - a fine golfer, and real character in our class of '74. I remember a party at his place listening to Chuck Berry across the street from the park. Sad to hear of his passing.

Hard to believe...so many connections over so many years from Narberth to Saint Francis College where I last saw him. A brilliant and complicated guy. So sad to lose him so soon. The best to his family.

Mariana, so sorry to hear of the sudden loss of your brother. Even though he was a bit older than me, he used to tease me, mess up my hair, and and he'd always play with any dog thst was around. May God hold him in the Palm Of His Hand, and God help you and your family find peace of mind as long as it takes. J

Mariana, I am so sorry to hear of the loss of yor brother so suddenly. I have lots of good memories of him around Narberth; he was always so nice to me even though he was a bit older. Used to always mess up my hair and called me "little Coon". Always used to play with the dogs with me. May God hold him in the palm of his Hand. God bless you and the rest of your family to find peace of mind, no matter how long it takes.
Take Care,
Joanie Cooney

My memories of a man who loved life to the fullest. "The Boro", dogs, the Cape, Jamaica, fishing, golf, howling at the moon, hysterical words, sounds and gestures, laughter, late night talks, kids, family, faith, friendship and much, much more. Heaven will never be the same.
You were one of a kind. I will sorely miss you.
