DOROTHEA SASSAMAN Obituary
DOROTHEA (nee Moore)), formerly of Havertown, PA died on April 19, 2013 at age 91. Wife of the late Thomas Roland Sassaman and devoted mother of Donna Sassaman(Benjamin Kantor) and Craig Sassaman (Josephine); also survived by 4 grandchildren, Samuel Kantor and Melissa, Nicole and Christy Sassaman; a brother, 3 sisters and numerous nieces and nephews. Her Memorial Service will be held on Fri. April 26th, 10 A.M. in St. John's Episcopal Church, 404 Leveringmill Rd., Bala Cynwyd, PA. Int. St. Paul's Lutheran Cem. Flowers or a contribution in her memory to the Arthritis Foundation, 111 S. Independence Mall East, Suite 500, Bourse Bldg., Phila., PA 19106

Aunt Dot was a beautiful, caring and loving women. Her priorities were family and God/church - both gave her fullfilment. She was always available to listen when needed someone to talk about a problem they were having. She had a great sense of humor and was never afraid to laugh at herself. She has been on my mind since I moved to Florida and more so lately. I regret not calling her again in the past few months just to hear her voice and have her ask me how my family and I were and to hear about her family. Her children and grandchildren were the highlights of her life.
She will be missed by many. My sympathies go out to Craig and Donna and their families. How blessed you both were to have her as your mother.
