FRANCES ECKMAN Obituary
FRANCES McCOWN (age 90) passed away on July 4, 2013. Frances is survived by her sister, Ethelwyn Brooks, and her brother, Donald A. McCown, plus numerous nieces and nephews.
Frances attended Radnor High School in Wayne and graduated in 1940. She also took several courses at the University of Pennsylvania. She began her career by working at the Main Line Times in Wayne for several years and then moved to New York City in the 60's where she became an advertising executive and Vice President of Metro Media. She worked on campaigns for the Audubon Society and UNICEF. She met her husband, Richard B. Eckman in New York City and they were happily married until his death in 1988.
She moved back to the Main Line to be near her family and lived at Paoli Pointe where she was a Building Representative and member of the Board in the early 2000's. She enjoyed reading and vacationing with family in Cape Cod, Long Beach Island in New Jersey, and Williamsburg, VA. She will be sorely missed.
Services will be a MAUGER-GIVNISH FUNERAL HOME, 24 Monument Avenue, Malvern, PA on THURSDAY JULY 11TH at 11 A.M. Interment will follow at West Laurel Hill Cemetery.
