FRANCIS ERDMAN Obituary
FRANCIS HICKOK (FRANK), died on Sunday, April 7, 2013 at Beaumont Retirement Home in Bryn Mawr, PA. He was 94. He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Jean Trippett Erdman and by his children, Frank Erdman Jr. and Kate Watson Prins and their spouses and 8 grandchildren. He was a graduate of Germantown Friends School. He earned an engineering degree at Swarthmore College in 1941. During WWII, he served as an engineer developing military aircraft at Wright Aeronautical. He was the Assistant to the President at McDonnell Aircraft Co. in St. Louis, MO., a Senior Vice President at RCA in Princeton, NJ and Head of Engineering at Tropicana in Bradenton, FL. Upon retirement he served as President of The Frederick Erdman Association in Havertown, PA. He was a member of the Metropolitan Club in Washington, DC., an active member of The Westerly Road Church in Princeton and of the Free Presbyterian Church in Malvern.
