FRANCIS TORPEY Obituary
FRANCIS J. JR., of Narberth PA, on June 23, 2013. Frank served as a Navy Seabee during the Vietnam War. He was passionate about singing with his group "Doo Wop Depot" and many others throughout the years. Additionally, he found great pleasure in fishing for fluke and bluefish in Montauk NY. He was the beloved husband of Joann Northrop. Father of Jodyanne Northrop, Tina Thomas, and Francis J. Torpey, III. Brother of Michael, Robert, Vincent, and the late David Torpey. Also survived by his 5 grandchildren. Relatives and friends are invited to his Viewing Thursday, from 9 to 10:45 A.M., in THE FUNERAL HOME OF JOHN STRETCH, 236 East Eagle Rd., Havertown PA 19083, and to his Mass of Christian Burial following at 11 A.M. in St. Denis Church, Havertown PA. Int. Private. In lieu of flowers, an offering in Mr. Torpey's name to Narberth Ambulance, 101 Sibley Ave., Ardmore PA 19003 would be appreciated.

So sorry to hear this sad news....Many good memories of Frank at St. Denis and in the alley of Georges and Aubrey Avenues. He had a great talent and loved his Doo Wop group. Will be missed.

Sorry for your loss. Frank, Jack Strong and myself were the Violators back in the early 60's. I have such fond memories of those times. Frank was a great singer and had an infectious laugh. I'll light a candle for him.
