LaVERGHETTA

FRANK E., of Ardmore, PA passed away on Jan. 10, 2013 at the age of 79. Beloved husband of the late Angela (nee Sette). Devoted brother of Ida Ciminale, his twin Helen Smargiassi and the late Lena Marino. He is also survived by his beloved companion of ten years, Inez Pontillo, six nieces and nephews, twelve grand nieces and nephews and numerous friends. Frank earned a BSEE degree and an MBA from Drexel. He was an electrical engineer/manager at Philco's computer division. He later joined Widener University where he managed the Cooper-ative Engineering Program. Together with his late wife, Angela they initiated and funded the Frank LaVerghetta and Angela Sette trust at Marywood University. A per-forming arts building at the university is dedicated to them. They also funded a scholarship at Drexel University.
Relatives and friends are invited to his Viewing, Monday 9:30 to 10:30 A.M. at St. John Neumann Church, 380 Highland Ave., Bryn Mawr, PA 19010. Funeral Mass will follow at 10:30 A.M. Entombment SS. Peter & Paul Cemetery. Frank requested that in lieu of flowers donations be made to the Frank E. and Angela R. LaVerghetta Scholarship Endowment Fund at Drexel University, 3141 Chestnut St., Philadelphia, PA 19104.
