GEORGE FLICKINGER Obituary
GEORGE A., on May 14, 2013, age 88 of Rosemont, formerly of Havertown. Beloved husband of Jean (nee Doll), he passed away on their 64th wedding anniversary. Devoted father Sandra Pollag and Carol; (Mark) Smithgall, also survived by his grand daughter and two great granddaughters. A veteran of the US Army in World War II, receiving the Purple Heart in the Battle of the Bulge. He also volunteered his time as a docent at the Railroad Museum for 13 years in Strasburg, PA. Relatives and friends are invited to his Memorial Service on Sat. at 10:00 A.M. in the Rosemont Presbyterian Village, 404 Cheswick Place, Rosemont, PA 19010. Memorials may be sent in his name to the Rosemont Presbyterian Village (Friendship Fund)

Dear Aunt Jean, Carol and Sandy,
I have such fond memories of Uncle George and all of the time our families spent together growing up. Please know how sorry I am for your loss, and be comforted by the fact that his best friend was there in heaven to welcome him home. My love to you all during this time.
