WELSH


GUS, 81, of Ocean City, NJ passed away at University of Pennsylvania Hospital April 8, 2013. Born December 15, 1931 in Manayunk, PA. He operated Gus Welsh Electrical Contractor Inc. from 1958 until his retirement in 2004. He served in the Army Signal Corps during the Korean War from 1952-1954; and graduated from the Army Advanced Electronics School at Fort Monmouth. Gus also served on the Board of the Roxborough Salvation Army.
Gus is survived by his wife of 46 years Theresa Lavin Welsh, brother Richard (Barbara), brothers in law Thomas (Nancy) and John (Paula) Lavin and 19 nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents Gus and Mae Welsh Sr. and sisters Catherine McKernan and Helen Synder and brother in law Joseph (Miriam) Lavin.
Mass at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, April 13th at St. Augustine Church, 1310 Ocean Ave., Ocean City viewing one hour prior. Burial will be private at Holy Cross Cem., Mays Landing, NJ. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to LaSalle Academy for disadvantaged children at 1434 North 2nd St., Phila., PA 19122.
