H. HOFFMAN DOLAN JR., died shortly after his 90th birthday on September 16, 2013 due to congestive heart failure. Hoff was a resident of Bryn Mawr Pa. and Vero Beach Fl. He attended Haverford School, the University of Virginia and the Wharton School of Finance. Hoff was extremely patriotic and served in the U.S. Marine Corps during World War II from 1942-1946, in Guam, China, Guadacanal, and the Battle of Okinawa. After the war he founded and served for 34 years as President and CEO, North American Brass and Aluminum, Inc. in West Philadelphia, employing over 60 persons. From 1965 - 1999, Hoff served as a Director of the South Chester Tube Company playing a key role in the company's governance during its transition and growth from a domestic tube manufacturer to a global supplier to multiple industries. Hoff was a member of the Merion Cricket Club, Gulph Mills Golf Club and The Courts here in Pennsylvania; and Riomar Country Club and Quail Valley River Club in Vero Beach Florida. He was an ardent hunter, golfer and ocean fisherman; and a knowledgeable and skilled craftsman and collector of antiques and early American lighting. He loved to play practical jokes on friends and family and entertained many over the years playing the guitar. Hoff is survived by his wife of 47 years, Kingsley Dolan, children and step-children: Andrew Dolan, Christine Dolan, Pauline Dolan, Marjorie Williamson, Kingsley Bryant, and Tracey Dolan; and seven grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Henry Hoffman Dolan and Pauline Thayer Dolan; son, Henry Hoffman Dolan III; sister Peggy Miller; and brother Thayer Dolan. A memorial service will take place at Beaumont Retirement Community, Bryn Mawr, PA at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday Sept. 21, 2013.
