JAMES BANNON Obituary
JAMES A. SR., of Newtown Square on August 20, 2013. He served in the Merchant Marines and was a member of IBEW Local Union #98. He is survived by his beloved wife of 61 years, Mary L. (Fasciocco) Bannon; his children; James A. Jr. (Mary Ann) Bannon, Mary Ann (Edward) Dixon, Michael (Barbara) Bannon, William (Karen) Bannon, Stephen (Deb) Bannon, and Valerie (Paul) Andreades, also 11 grand-children and 4 great-grandchildren. Grandfather of the late Hunter and Matthew Bannon and great-grandfather of the late Aubrey Somishka.
Relatives and friends are invited to his Visitation on Tuesday, 10 AM at St. Anastasia Church, 3301 West Chester Pike, Newtown Square, PA 19073. Funeral Mass to follow at 11 AM. Inurnment is private.
In lieu of flowers, donations to Alex's Lemonade Stand, 333 E. Lancaster Ave., #414, Wynne-wood, PA 19096. Please make note: "In Honor of Aubrey Somishka and in Memory of James A. Bannon, Sr." or Mass Cards would be appreciated.

I was about 6 or 7 and went to Jimmy and Mary's wedding - first one ever. It was great and there was a lot of food at the reception. Never forgot the hot roast beef sandwiches. Jimmy always had a great sense of humor. I am sure he is smiling down on us. Best to Aunt Mary.... Leo Fasciocco Jr.

Jimmy Bannon was the husband of May Fasciocco Bannon, my father's younger siser. Jimmy visited us many times and always had a good laugh. When my father Leo Fasciocco died he came to the funeral. Afterwards, he spoke with us and others. Before he left he shook hands with my son Michael Fasciocco and left a dollar in his hand. Jimmy was cool and still is cool in his heavenly place.
