JAMES E. "UNCLE JIM", age 87, on June 12, 2012.
Uncle Jim served his country honorably during WWII in New Guinea as a member of the Army's 775th Medium Tank Battalion. He began his career with the B&O R.R. as a machinist's apprentice in 1942 rising through the ranks and retiring in 1987 as a foreman with the successor CSX R.R.
Uncle Jim was a proud graduate of West Catholic High School Class of 1942, a faithful parti-cipant in the Men of Malvern Retreats and an active member of Yeadon Post 179 of American Legion. Beloved uncle to Bill (wife Debbie), Tom (wife Marie), Barbara Clardy Shuster Helen Clardy McGregor, and Jim Flicker (wife Nancy). Devoted great uncle to 13 nieces and nephews, and great, great uncle to 11 more.
Relatives and friends are invited to join in the celebration of his Funeral Mass Wednesday, June 20, 2012, at 11 A.M., at Divine Mercy R.C. Church, (FKA Good Shepherd R.C. Church), 68th and Chester Ave., Phila. PA, where friends may call Wednesday morning from 10 to 11 A.M. Interment SS. Peter and Paul Cem. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Uncle Jim's memory to Wounded Warrior Project, P.O. Box 758517, Topeka KS 66675.

To the Family of Jim,
It is sad to read of Jim's passing. Having worked on the old B&O under Jim's direction, I found him to be one of the fairest supervisors in my forty-two year railroad career. I am positive that the Good Lord will welcome Jim in view of his long kindness to all.
