John hallock

John was a great friend to me, maybe my first real friend. He was kind and wise and loving. He generously gave his time, energy and support to me, always offering an open ear, mindful reflection, and encouragement thru the good and bad times of my life. He is an irreplaceable presence. From silent retreats we took to monasteries, thru the bursts of laughter we shared, he followed the model of simplicity and grace of his faith. He is deeply missed.

I remember John fondly as a dear friend and colleague, sharing as we did our love of the Hebrew Bible.
