JOSEPH FRANCIS, on April 20, 2013 of Wayne, PA. Beloved husband of the late Irene Massa Richardson. Devoted father of Maria Jenkinson (David), Joseph F. Richardson (Kelly) and David Richardson (Johanna). Loving companion for 20 years Chloe Gardner. Dear brother of Jean Cotter, Kay Patrone, Ann Burns, Agnes Hammond, Lori Grow, Terri Abraham, Tina Smith, Patty Fitzgerald, Joan Gallagher and the late Rita, John and Susan. Also, survived by 8 grand-children. Relatives and friends are invited to attend Joe's Life Celebration Service Thursday, 11 A.M., MAUGER/GIVNISH INC. FUNERAL HOME, 24 Monument Ave., Malvern PA, where friends may visit on Wednesday evening from 6 to 8 P.M. and Thursday morning, from 9 to 11 A.M. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be sent to Bryn Mawr Hospital Palliative Care, 130 South Bryn Mawr Ave., Bryn Mawr PA 19010. Interment Philadelphia Memorial Park.

I met Joe when we both worked for Radnor Township School District. From the beginning of our friendship, Joe always called me "Sarge." I'm not exactly sure why, as I don't remember barking orders at anyone, so I always felt it was a term of respect and endearment. The feeling was mutual.
I will truly miss him.

Our heart goes out to the Richardson family for the loss of their Father Joe! He bought a lot of joy and fun to his many grandchildren. His grandchildren changed him and he was happy for that! You were loved by many and will be missed by all the Plumb Family! BIG JOE rest in peace!

Our heartfelt thoughts and prayers are with the entire Richardson family at this time. Uncle Joe was such a great man, he was stubborn, headstrong, loved his family and was a gentle soul. We are all better people for having had him in our lives, and may the many memories you have of him help you get through this sad time.
